- What does a custom project include?Custom projects may include modifications to a select number of Talāyee Fine Jewelry's existing designs, as well as a design entirely one of a kind that's made just for you.
- Is there a minimum budget for custom orders? Yes. Custom orders generally start with a minimum budget of $1000. There are always exceptions so don’t be afraid to reach out with your dream request. All custom orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit to get started, and once the design has been approved by the client the other 50% will need to be paid.
- How long will it take? Custom orders can take between 4-8 weeks depending on the scope and complexity of the project.
- Can I repurpose my existing jewelry. Yes and no. Your existing gemstones can be repurposed in your custom design, however I do not repurpose the metal from existing jewelry. Most gold is an alloy, meaning that it is mixed with other metals to give it its strength and shine. It is hard to control for the metal color, texture, strength, and porosity without having it processed at a refinery first.
- Tell me about the process. You can email hello.talayee@gmail.com with an idea of what you'd like for your custom project. This can include image inspiration, ideas you've been thinking up, guidelines around budget, and anything else that feels important to you. From there I would come back to you with design options. Once you decide on the direction you want to go in and pay the 50% deposit, your custom design will go into production and be completed.
